Explosion Kills Six Troops In Southern Turkey

MEP:  At least six Turkish soldiers were killed in a car bomb attack targeted a police station near the town of Semdinli in southeast Turkey on Sunday.

In addition, seven others, including civilians were wounded, Turkey’s Anadolu news agency reported, citing a statement by the Turkish armed forces.

Anadolu attributed the attack to the PKK, or the Kurdistan Workers Party, designated a “terrorist” group by Turkey.

The explosion occurred during vehicle searches on the road in front of the police station.

Ambulances were sent to the area.

No more details were given on the attack.
