Faryab’s Teylan Likely To Collapse Again
MEP: The armed Taliban’s coordinated attacks on the strategic area of Teylan in Pashtun Kot district of Faryab province failed, but the threat of collapse of this region is existing.
When the security forces cleared the important and strategic area Teylan three days before of the armed Taiban, last night; severe attacks by the group took place over this strategic region.
Abdul Karim Youresh, a spokesman for Faryab police chief said the Taliban offensive attacks that lasted about two hours, faced with resistance and had casualties.
Two armed Taliban members were killed and another wounded, he added.
However, the spokesman for Faryab police chief pointed to the threat of falling the area once again and said to avoid the seizure of the area by the armed Taliban, joint security forces are in the region and to maintain it, popular uprising forces equipped and several security posts in key places have also been partitioned.
Teylan area of Faryab province had been captured by armed Taliban a month ago.
