MEP: A 19-year-old girl was killed inside her residence in a mysterious way in the town of Pul-e Khumri, the provincial capital of northern Baghlan province, an official said.
Khadija Yaqeen head of women’s affairs in Baghlan province told the Middle East Press, the incident occurred last night.
She said the girl’s throat was cut with a knife and her body was obtained from her home.
In connection with the incident a young boy has been arrested by police in Baghlan, Mrs Yaqeen added.
The head of women’s affairs in Baghlan province, with risk of increasing violence against women, murdering and other criminal acts in the province, says that the recent insecurity causes increase in the rates of violence.
It is said that in the current year, eight women and girls, including the 19-year-old girl have been murdered in the province.
