KABUL (MEP) – The number of global COVID-19 infections is rising day by day, approaching a total of 1 million people.
The latest statistics show that 935,957 people have been infected with the deadly coronavirus across the world.
The World Health Organization (WHO) also notes that 47,245 people have been died due to the virus.
The United States has the highest number of infections in the world with 215,215 cases, and 5,110 deaths.
Italy with 110,574 cases, Spain with 104,118 and China with 81,554 also ranking the highest number of cases worldwide.
Iran has more than 47,593 cases, with around 3,366 fatalities.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan COVID-19 cases have reached 239, of which 10 have recovered and 5 have died.
