MEP: Local officials in eastern Nangarhar say that unknown gunmen have brutally shot dead three members of a family in the center of Jalalabad city.
The incident occurred last night when armed men entered a house of a person named “Ebrahim” and opened fire on him, on his wife and on his child.
According to reports, the attack took place in the seventh district of Jalalabad city.
At the same time, Ataullah Khogyani, Nangarhar governor’s spokesman told the media that Ebrahim is a resident of Kunar and lived in Nangarhar long onward.
He said Ebrahim had two wives who had previously divorced his first wife.
According to the spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar, the studies show that the event is due to family violence, but more research in this area is ongoing.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far.
