Hezb-e-Islami Group Calls on Dr. Abdullah to Accept Election Outcomes

KABUL: (Middle East Press) The Hezb-e-Islami Councils Alliance (HICA) on Saturday called on presidential candidate Dr. Abdullah Abdullah to agree to the presidential election outcomes.

Hezb-e-Islami Councils Alliance (HICA) supporters gathered in Kabul on Saturday and insisted that the runoff vote results should be released without any further break.

HICA supporters called on Dr. Abdullah to accept election results and warned that they will not remain silent if Dr. Abdullah’s camp combat with the poll results.

Wahidullah Sabawoon, deputy chief of Hezb-e-Islami Councils Alliance, said the alliance wants Reform and Unanimity team-led by Dr. Abdullah to accept the constitution of Afghanistan.

Hezb-e-Islami Alliance (HICA) announced their support to Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai during the presidential election and claim that their team is winner in the second round of election.

Dr. Abdullah boycotted the election process following the announcement of preliminary vote results for runoff election and claimed that huge fraud have been committed in favour of his rival Dr. Ashraf Ghani.

The US Secretary of State John Kerry was forced to visit Afghanistan and mediate talks between the two rivals amid fears that the unclear runoff election could threat the stability of the country as certain supporters of Dr. Abdullah suggested to form a parallel government.

Both the candidates agreed to full vote audit of presidential vote and agreed to abide by the outcome of the audit process and form a national unity government in a bid to end the political deadlock.
