Independent Electoral Media Commission warns 4 Television Channels

KABUL: (MEP) – The Independent Electoral Media commission has issued warnings to four TV channels that have been found to be biased in their broadcasting of electoral campaigns.

IE media commission also advised seven other media agencies for similar reasons and stressed that it is critical they attribute due importance to the warning or else legal proceedings may be initiated against them.

Farida Nekzad, head of IE media commission said the commission monitors and evaluates media activity in general and for specific visible imbalance of electoral campaigns being reported and accordingly issues warnings to the defaulting agencies.

The commission has also said they are going to issue warnings to National TV as undesired bias is being witnessed in most provinces.

They have also asked media agencies to share financial reports relating to the electoral campaigns without any delay.
