Interior Minister Warns of Serious Changes In Kabul Police

KABUL: (MEP) – Following recent spate of robberies and kidnappings in capital Kabul, the interior minister Muhammad Omar Daudzai warned of serious reshuffle in Kabul police if the mentioned problems not resolved within two weeks.

The Senate summoned top security officials and foreign ministry authorities on Tuesday over recent insecurity events and execution of Afghan immigrants in Iran.

The senators stated the security situation of Kabul and Northern provinces had deteriorated after the Presidential elections.

They expressed armed robberies, kidnappings and home lootings had increased in the capital City.

Interior Minister agreed to the concerns of legislators but promised to take a serious action to bring the security situation back to the track.

“I give those only two weeks,” Minister Daudzai referred to Kabul Police officers. “If the situation not controlled in next two weeks, I will be compelled to take action, a serious action.”

He stated that cars with black, tinted and colored glasses would be stopped at the city since such cars were involved in some recent events.
