Iranian Ambassador Ordered 24 Hrs To Leave Saudi Arabia

KABUL: (MEP) Saudi Arabia has ordered an ultimatum of 24 hours to Iranian ambassador in Riyadh to leave the country just a day after Iranians stormed and set on fire the Saudi embassy in Tehran over the execution of prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr.

The order was issued Sunday, according to local media reports.

Tension increased between Saudi and Iran after the kingdom executed Sheikh al-Nimr and 46 others.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei calling the execution “a political mistake” said Saudi Arabia will face “divine revenge” over it.

Meanwhile the country’s Foreign Ministry condemning the execution of Sheikh Nimr.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hossein Jaberi Ansari said,The execution of a personality such as Sheikh Nimr who had no means other than speech to pursue his political and religious objectives only shows the depth of imprudence and irresponsibility.

On Saturday – Saudi Arabia executed Shia cleric Sheikh and 46 others – a move that resulted in outrage across the Middle East, especially Iraq and Iran.
