Karzai: Jordan Ready to Support Afghanistan
KABUL: (MEP) – President Hamid Karzai alongside 9th Meeting of World Islamic Economic Forum in London met Abdullah II King of Jordan during which the Jordanian King emphasized on continued cooperation of his country and expressed pleasures over progress in training of Special Forces of Afghanistan.
The Jordanian King called Afghanistan friend of Jordan and said that his country is prepared for further cooperation with Afghanistan, BNA reported.
He stressed that Jordan has allocated 10 scholarships for higher education to Afghan students in medical and engineering areas. President Hamid Karzai informed Abdullah II over progress in Afghanistan in the past 12 years in different areas especially in education, health, communications and transport.
In respect to the security pact with the US President Karzai said that soon that Loya Jirgah of the people of Afghanistan will be held and shall decide on the pact.
They also assessed political issues in the Middle East and Islamic countries and expressed concern over continued war and bloodletting in Syria.
