Karzai not to sign security accord with US

KABUL: (MEP) – President Hamid Karzai made it clear that he would not sign the BSA as he is extremely disappointed at the way the US has handled the Afghan War.

The interest of Afghanistan has not been considered during the past 12-year war that has been fought by America and its allies, says President Hamid Karzai.

US forces landed in Afghanistan to war against terrorists and extremists in order to make their own country safe, President Karzai declared.

President Hamid Karzai in his interview with Washington Post has clearly stated that he will not sign the security accord under any circumstances.

“I cannot sign the security agreement with America without the commencement of the peace process. President Obama can wait until the next Afghanistan President is elected,” added Mr. Karzai.

Strained relations between Kabul and Washington are not new, especially in the recent months. However, there are concerns about the continuation of these tensions and the grim situation in the country.
