Khogyani district governor survives suicide car bombing in Nangarhar.
Ataullah Khogyani, the Nangarhar provincial governor spokesman, told the Middle East Press that Haji Zulmay survived life attempt in Sari Kala district of eastern Nangarhar province at 10:30 am on Tuesday.
He added the governor of Khogyani district, Haji Zalmay, was driving from Jalalabad city toward his office when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives packed vehicle in Sara Kala area of the district.
The suicide bomber was blown up.
At least 2 women and 4 children were injured as the blast shattered civilian windows nearby.
No group has yet to comment the incident.
The district governor was severally injured and four of his bodyguards were killed.
Nangarhar is among the volatile provinces in east of Afghanistan where both Taliban and Daesh militant groups are active in a number of its districts and usually carrying out attacks against the Afghan forces and authorities.
