Man Brutally Cuts Off Wife’s Nose In Faryab

KABUL: (MEP) local authorities informed Monday in northern Faryab province that a man has violently cut his 20 years old wife’s nose with a sharp knife in Ghormach district of the province.

According to officials, Reza Gul married the man six years before and has a one year old baby girl.

The young woman has been hospitalized in Afghan Turk hospital in Maimana city, the provincial capital of Faryab province.

Provincial public health officials have confirmed that Reza Gul would require plastic surgery, a procedure that is not available in Faryab province.

She says her husband has just returned home from Iran after one year and that he kept beating her, insulting her and scorning her over different excuses.

“My husband wanted to kill me with a gun but it did not work, then he picked up a knife and cut my nose.” Reza Gul told media.

The man escaped the area with earlier reports suggest that he might have been joint with Taliban ranks.

However, further investigations are underway.
