MoI: 86 Taliban Insurgents Killed During Military Operations

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 86 Taliban insurgents were killed during joint clearing and military operations conducted by Afghan national security forces in the past 24 hours.

Ministry of interior said following a statement, the operations were conducted by Afghan police forces in cooperation with the Afghan national army and Afghan intelligence – national directorate of security (NDS) operatives.

Furthermore, the operations were conducted in Kunar, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Zabul, Logar and Herat provinces.

The statement also added that 15 Taliban insurgents were also injured and another insurgent was arrested following the operations.

Afghan national security forces also confiscated various types of weapons, ammunition and explosives added by statement.

Afghan security forces also discovered and seized 31 rounds improvised explosive device (IED) during the operations in Helmand, Badghis, Farah, Zabul, Kandahar, Kunduz and Kunar provinces.

The Taliban insurgents group rejected the statement by the ministry of interior.
