Nangarhar Governor Resigns From His Position

MEP: Saleem Khan Kunduzi, the governor of Nangarhar, has resigned from his duty and formally announced this action.

Kunduzi made the announcement during a gathering attended by several tribal elders in Jalalabad city and claimed that he was facing issues by taking a step to improve the situation of the province.

The outgoing governor of Nangarhar said there are some people who were interfering in the affairs of his business. However, he did not name the people.

The government, in relation to the resignation of Salim Khan Kunduzi, did not comment so far.

The resignation of senior government and provincial officials in the country is a rare thing rarely happens, but can be pointed to resignation of Dawood Shah Saba, Minister of Mines and Aminullah Amarkhail, Ghazni police chief.
