NATO Airstrike Killed Taliban Chief amid 3 Others in Nangarhar

KABUL: (Middle East Press) a local Taliban commander along with his other insurgents were killed following an airstrike by NATO-led coalition forces in eastern Nangarhar province.

Local government officials said, the airstrike was carried out in Sherzad district on Tuesday afternoon.

A spokesman for the border protection police forces, Edris Momand said at least three Taliban insurgents were also injured following the airstrike.

Momand further added that the Taliban leader killed in the airstrike was leading the group in Sherzad district.

Taliban insurgents group has not commented about the report yet.
