The National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency issued a statement states that Jahanzib was arrested while driving the vehicle to deliver the explosives to Manogai district to cause roadside blasts and magnetic bombs.
A video has been released by NDS showing the arrest confessing to his crime.
“My name is Jahanzib, my father’s name is Shah Mahmood, I am a resident of Asmar district,” he said. “These explosive materials were handed over to me in Shelton by Khan, who told me to deliver the materials to Nangalam, on the bridge a man will be waiting for you, you have to give them to that man.”
This comes as hundreds of militants attacked several security posts in Manogai and Chapa Dara districts of Kunar province.
