NDS Foils Terrorist Attacks, Detains Militants
KABUL: (MEP) – The National Directorate of Security (NDS) has reported of neutralizing massive insurgent plans of carrying out attacks in southern Helmand.
Terrorist circles stationed across the border had planned to attack election campaigns in the provincial capital of Lashkargah, the NDS said in a statement.
The statement added two vehicles laden with explosives were seized by the NDS forces.
It said three insurgents were also detained in connection to this massive insurgent plan.
The attacks were foiled at the same day when two Presidential runners Zulmai Rassoul and Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai formally opened their campaign offices in Lashkargah.
