Over 50 Killed 100 Wounded In Syria’s Twin Car Bombings
KABUL: (MEP) At least 52 people were killed and more than 100 others seriously wounded after twin car bomb attacks hit a residential neighborhood in Syria’s western city of Homs on Sunday morning, state media said.
The explosions took place at about 7:50 am in the city center’s Al-Zahra district, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
The blasts heavily damaged a military intelligence building.
No group has claimed responsibility for the act of violence so far, but such terrorist attacks are usually carried out by the Islamic State Takfiri militant groups active in the area.
State television quoted the governor of Homs as saying at least 25 people had been killed.
