A statement by Nangarhar provincial press office said, the operations were launched last week with the goal of eliminating terrorist groups in different parts of the province.
61 Daeshi were killed and 18 others wounded as a result of operations, the statement added.
According to the source, the operations in the areas of Khoragi, Se-Paya, Patah-Darah, Bandok, Farshakhel and Chanarkhel of the province to suppress opponents and members of Daesh terrorist group had been conducted.
At least three army soldiers were also killed during the conflict.
