MEP: Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of Republic Afghanistan in response to the kidnapping and hostage-taking of a child in Farah province, said the abductors will face a fair and public trial.
President Ghani during a telephone call with the father of Nawed (the abducted child in Farah Province) promised that the kidnappers and hostage takers who are in custody will be trailed publicly in accordance with the laws of the country.
A statement was released by Presidential Palace (ARG) said the telephone call was held today in which the President stated that the protection of life and property of the people is the responsibility of the government.
The President has stressed, those who endanger people’s lives and commit such barbaric acts, cannot escape from law and will be dealt seriously.
Meanwhile, Ghani has directed the Office of Presidential Affairs to transfer Nawed to Kabul for treatment.
Nawed, a five year old child resident of Farah province has been in the custody of kidnappers since a month ago and video images released of him in the social pages indicated inhuman treatment had with him.
Following the publication of the video footage and people’s petition on the social pages caused the National Security Forces, to find the kidnappers and release the kid.
