MEP: Prince Turki bin Abdulziz, a brother of Saudi Arabia’s king, has died on Saturday at the age of 83 in Riyadh, a statement from the Kingdom’s Palace said.
Prince Turki was born in 1934, and served as deputy minister of defense from 1968 to 1978, according to the statement published by the official Saudi Press Agency.
Prince Sultan bin Salman told AlArabiya that Prince Turki’s death marks a big loss for Saudi Arabia for the nationalistic and noble principles that he stood for.
King Salman is to receive condolences for three days from Saturday evening, the palace said.
