MEP: A representative of Sar-e-Pul province, with the immediate time of the House of Representatives, stated that the province has experienced three days of intense fighting and if the situation is not addressed, is facing the danger of collapse.
Sayyed Hossein Sharifi Balkhabi during the time of pointing meeting today in the House of Representatives requested essential time that faced with the approval of the Administrative Board.
He stated that the security forces during the past three days are engaged intensifying of the battle with the armed Taliban near the center of Sar-e-Pul and are in serious need of additional support.
Currently the battle continues in the districts of Sayaad and Meyan Dara and the areas are under full control of the Taliban, and they are trying to reach to the center of the province, he added.
According to the source, the Taliban using cold air, have gathered in the province of Badghis through Ghor, Jawzjan, and Sar-e-Pul to fully seize the province of Sar-e-Pul.
Fall of Sar-e-Pul means the collapse of northern, Balkhabi said, adding that if the government fails to pay attention to the situation, the province will fall.”
Meanwhile, the armed Taliban also said they have launched a massive attack on the province.
