MEP: With respect to all statements about the presence or absence of the Minister of Interior, Defense, and the head of security at the House of Representatives impeachment meeting are presented.
Taj Mohammad Jahid, the Interior Minister, Abdullah Habibi Minister of National Defense and Masoum Stanikzai Director General of the Afghan National Security of Afghanistan in connection with the deadly attack on military hospital of Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan and the increase of recent insecurity have appeared at today’s meeting.
The report comes as earlier President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has warned that if security officials are asked to come for impeachment, would dissolve the parliament by a decree.
However, the claim was rejected by the Presidential Palace and Presidential spokesman said that the President has not spoken with anyone about the dissolution of parliament.
In this regard, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, speaker at today’s meeting said that during his yesterday’s meeting with President Ghani and the committee chairpersons, the president has said in relation to the three branches, each branch is independent and operates under the constitution.
According to Ibrahimi, the parliament according to the constitution is defined, viable state based on constitution and there is no question about the legitimacy and illegitimacy of the three branches.
However, Humayun Humayun, Vice President of the House said that during a meeting yesterday, President Ghani has returned from his previous statements and said that impeachment is a constitutional right of House of Representatives.
