Separate Airstrikes Kill 49 ISIL Partners in Nangarhar

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Separate drone strikes in eastern Nangarhar province killed at least 49 rebels who are believed to have link with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group, local officials said.

The officials added that one strike target Achin district around 12:00 pm on Monday leaving 12 insurgents dead.

Another strike target the same district killing at least 37 others around 2:00 pm local time.

The airstrikes were carried out as the militants had gathered for a meeting in Achin district, the local residents said, adding that several dead bodies were left in the area following the raids.

This comes as irregular clashes were reported between the militant groups in parts of Achin and Nazian districts on Monday.
