Shanghai’s efforts to improve Afghan situation

KABUL: (MEP) – Foreign ministers from member countries of the Shanghai recently announced that the organization is trying to help the Afghan government to improve the situation, Farsi.ru reported.

The last weekend in The Cholpon in Kyrgyzstan ministers of SCO member states held.

During the meeting they discussed issues related to the development of this organization did.

This session will focus on the currently most important task of securing Shanghai partner nations plan to transport goods to Afghanistan.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the summit said: member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit agenda is going to be held on September 13 in Bishkek, has been agreed.

He drafted the documents that must be prepared and signed by the countries of the cooperation program between the years 2017-2013 for the implementation of the Treaty of Friendship, and exploring how to help Afghanistan to improve the situation in this country.

Russia’s Foreign Minister says the situation in Afghanistan is of particular importance for all Member States of Shanghai.

Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a regional organization that was founded in 2001. Its members include Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Last year (2012) was accepted as an observer to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Afghanistan. India, Iran, Pakistan and Mngvlya well as members of the organization are involved observers.
