Lt. Col. Ghulam Hazrat Karimi, spokesman for twenty sect of Afghan National Army in the province told the Middle East News Agency that armed Taliban launched an agreesive attack on the district this morning at 4:00 am that were faced with fierce resistance of security forces.
Karimi said six Taliban were killed and four others wounded in the attack.
He states that the Taliban are present sporadically present in the district and launch coordinated attacks on top positions of the security forces.
The report comes as concerns on the widening insecurity in the province are on the rise while the security officials emphasize on air strikes targeting the group’s leaders.
