The incident took place around 10:00 am Tuesday morning when the suicide bomber detonated his explosives in police checkpoint.
Zia Durani, spokesman for the police HQ in Kandahar said that one policeman embraced martyrdom in the explosion and another sustained injuries.
It’s noteworthy that the attacker exploded his explosives when he had been identified by police.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
