Suicide attack on NATO convoy in western Kabul
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Moments ago, a suicide bomber carrying explosives into a convoy of foreign troops in the West of Kabul blew up.
The attack took place today around 11:30 am at the intersection area of the Isteqlaal hospital of the sixth sphere of security.
The attack reportedly killed four civilians and wounded seven others.
Interior ministry spokesman Siddiq Siddiqui wrote on his Twitter page, the purpose of the attack was on a convoy of foreign troops and four civilians were killed and seven others injured.
Afghan security forces surrounded the area and the movement of people and vehicles can be avoided.
The exact toll of foreign troops and Afghan civilians in the attack has not yet cleared and according to reports no foreign troops were harmed.
It’s believed that a large number of people have been killed and injured in the attack by a suicide bomber drove on a speeded vehicle.
General Zahir zahir police commander in Kabul said the attack killed four civilians and wounded more than twenty others.
Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the suicide attack on the convoy of American troops.
