Suicide Attacker Targets NATO Forces Convoy In Kabul

KABUL: (Middle East Press) A suicide attacker targeted a convoy of the NATO-led coalition security forces early Tuesday on Kabul international airport road.

According to security officials, a suicide bomber blew up a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) near the convoy of the NATO forces.

Reports say at least 13 people were killed or injured following the attack, with eyewitnesses in the area are saying that several bodies of the civilians were left on the street during the blast.

In the meantime, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) following a statement said at least 17 civilians were injured following the attack and 17 vehicles were destroyed.

On the other hand, at least three service members of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed following the attack, the alliance confirmed following a statement.

The statement further added at least five service members were also wounded in the blast.

No group including the Taliban insurgents have claimed responsibility behind the suicide attack yet.
