
Bismillah Ataash, a provincial council member told the Middle East Press the armed Taliban have excluded the subjects of “Tourism and Culture” from the other themes in the curriculum of schools of Dahana-e-Ghori district and instead, added a religious theme.
He said the group has considered the teaching of the subject algebraic and warned that in case of violation of this, offenders are punished.
Meanwhile, it is said the Taliban, in addition to the district of Dahana-e-Ghori and the outskirts of Pul-e Khumri city, they also rule some of the schools by their regulatory team in the district of Burka, but the salaries of teachers of these schools are paid by the Education Department of Baghlan.
In the meantime, the Middle East Press reporter tried to have an interview with Baghlan education department, but Paikaan Haidari, head of Baghlan Education Department refused to provide details, and said that more than 80 schools are under severe security threat.
