Taliban prison destroyed in Zabul
Security Forces destroying a Taliban jail in Zabul, freed 28 prisoners.
The MoIA released a newsletter saying, the operation was launched by Special Forces led by the commandos in Nawbahar district of Zabul today (Thursday, May 30), Middle East Press reported.
“28 prisoners were released from the jail, including 16 civilians and 12 security forces,” newsletter added.
In the operation, two armed Taliban were killed and all freed persons are under medical examination, the Ministry of Interior said.
The ministry did not provide further details on this issue, saying that details will be published later on.
Armed Taliban have not yet commented on this.
