Two Abducted Students Released In Maidan Wardak

Maidan WardakKABUL: (MEP) Two students who had been kidnapped six days ago from Jalrez district of Maidan Wardak province, were released this morning, although there are reports that Taliban insurgents in exchange for their release, have taken one million Afghanis.

Ahamd Jafari, Wardak Provincial council chairman told Middle East Press the students along with a driver through the mediation of elders were released.

“The two students were transported to Kabul city after liberation.” He added.

According to Jafari, the security forces were aware of the location of the two students since they had been kidnapped, but they did not take any action for their release and were begging elders to step up for their release.

Anwar, one of the people who played role in the release of the students, told Middle East Press that their health condition is good.
