MEP: Kunduz provincial police discovered and defused two bombs in the first police district of Kunduz city.
Mahfozullah Akbari, a spokesman for police in the Northern East Zone told the Middle East Press the two mines were skillfully embedded in barrels and was controlled remotely.
He said the two mines were planted to target security forces in Angor Bagh route.
According to Akbari, with the discovery of these two mines, two bloody incidents were averted.
The development comes as with global warming, Kunduz residents have expressed concern over insecurity.
