MEP: General Abdul Rashid Dostum, First Vice-President who was outstanding in attracting votes for his role in the team of Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, has been a martial spirit in Afghanistan from the beginning.
In the course of the struggle and the jihad in Afghanistan battlefields he is involved and one cannot deny his role in all of these fronts.
Dostum after two terms of Hamid Karzai’s Presidency took part with Ashraf Ghani, this time in a different part of the battle; but somehow found at the scene and was able to battle with his team to win after much controversy.
Only after less than two years as the First Vice-President, General Dostum learned that he did not have much role and his role was less than as what he had thought.
During the two years of time, he was unable to express his feelings as his convoy was ambushed in Faryab and a number of his bodyguards were killed.
The ambush presented the other face of Dostum and he accused ARG/ The Presidential Palace in a speech, of concentration of power and disregard. He called the attack of the cooperation of the government itself.
However, after some time the statements were about to forgetting that the incident of Ayshchy occurred and Ahmad Ayshchy attended the official media, claimed that he has been raped by Dostum and his bodyguards.
The words declined the validity of General Dostum and after a while of this claim, even Dostum [himself] was not willing to talk about it.
Gen Dostum came to Kabul after a period of time with a large number of cars and bodyguards and all were expected for his reaction about Ayshchy statements, that this did not happen and General Dostum was more isolated than ever.
This isolation led the Attorney General to issue a decree demanding the arrest of nine bodyguards of Gen Dostum and he himself was also a form of house arrest.
Dostum at the time, even at a single meeting of the Cabinet and presidential administration did not present and his chair due to the presence of General Dostum in Kabul is empty.
These speculations further highlight Gen Dostum’s isolation and put his presence under question.
This comes as Dostum did not hand the arrest warrant of his guards by the Attorney General’s Office to the government.
Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal newspaper reported that the First Vice-President opposed with the arrest of his bodyguards.
However, the Interior Ministry also warned to arrest the guards, but it seems like General Dostum has stood against the decision of the Ministry.
All the statements came as the speculations for the presence of a Turk as a successor of General Dostum and are expected to Dostum confrontation with the government, this to happen and General Dostum to be removed from the scene.
However, in the current situation that General Dostum is less present in the public and the media, no one knows what he is doing and what plans he has for the future?
