World Bank: Afghanistan, world’s fourth insecure country

According to the World Bank’s new global security situation, Afghanistan announced as world’s fourth insecure country. Increasing insecurity and economic sluggish growth have been a serious threat to the country.

The World Bank report states that after 2011, 1.3 million people in Afghanistan due to insecurity and instability have been gripped by poverty.

According to the report, poverty in Afghanistan since 2011 has increased compared to previous years increased to 4%, as climbed up from 35.5 percent to 39 percent.

World Bank due to the harsh conditions of living for a large part of the country because of security threats has endangered developments in recent years.

At the same time, the World Bank warns that if the current situation is not addressed, the problems would become a threat out of control and social cohesion will be at risk.

The alerting and reporting came as the insecurity and the armed opposition existences in most parts of country became more of a concern and many parts of the country are in the hands of Taliban.
