10% decline in Herat’s customs revenue
KABUL: (MEP) – Administrators of Customs Revenue Department have reported of a 10% decline in Herat’s customs revenue current year.
Agreeing to the representatives, Herat earned 11 billion AFN in customs revenue in the past eight months, which is 10% lower than previous year’s revenue, wadsam reported.
“Herat’s customs revenue is the highest in the country; however, this year we have seen a 10% decline in the revenue,” said Ahmad Tamim, a Customs Revenue Department official.
The official attributed the decline to the negative trade balance of Herat and the sanctions against Iran, which borders with Herat province.
