19 People Killed in Heart Traffic Accident

KABUL: (Middle East Press) A traffic accident in western Herat province killed 19 people and injured seven others on Sunday, local officials said.

According to Abdul Raof Ahmadi, the spokesman for Heart police chief, the incident took place on Islam-Qala road after a car hit a truck while traveling from Ingil district of the province to Herat City.

“The accident claimed the lives of four women and six children,” Ahmadi said. “The injured victims have been transferred to the hospital.”
