2 Pakistani diplomats missing in Afghanistan
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said two of its diplomats have been missing in the country since Friday and their fate is unknown.
The two diplomats were employers at the consulate of Pakistan in the eastern city of Jalalabad, and according to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two men were disappeared while returning home in Pakistan for holiday.
Reuters quoted Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry as saying that the two diplomats had gone missing when going back home via land border.
The Ministry has asked the Afghan government to take all necessary measures to find the diplomats to be on hand.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
