29 Taliban Rebels killed, 19 injured By Afghan-NATO operations
KABUL: (MEP) – Recently at least 29 Taliban militants were killed and 19 others were injured during joint military operations by Afghan and coalition security forces.
The interior ministry of Afghanistan following a statement announced, “In past 24 hours, Afghan National Police conducted several joint clearance operations with the cooperation of Afghan National Army, NDS and Coalition Forces to clean some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.”
The statement further added that the operations were conducted in Kandahar, Zabul and Herat provinces of Afghanistan.
According to interior ministry officials, 10 militants were also arrested by Afghan National Security Forces during the military operations, khaama reported.
Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated some amount of light and heavy rounds ammunition, the statement added.
Taliban militants group yet to comment regarding the reports.
