8 high ranking military officials fired by MoD

KABUL: (MEP) – The Afghanistan Ministry of Defense has fired 8 high ranking military officials who were found to be negligent during the terrorist attack at Kunar.

Yesterday’s attack on the ANA has been termed as one of the bloodiest and has exacted a heavy toll on the forces.

Zahir Azimi, spokesman for the defense ministry has announced that an ex- ANA man by the name of Mahmud had been a part of the terrorist group.

The ministry however, was quick to reject any report about the involvement of the Afghan national army with the Taliban.

According to officials in the ministry, the Taliban has offered to exchange some captured soldiers for the body of Mahmud.
