One Dead, Three Injured In Kabul Explosion

MEP: As a result of a magnetic mine explosion on a police ranger in the second police district of Kabul, one person was killed and three others were wounded.

The blast occurred on Wednesday morning at around 8:00 am in Naw Abad area of Deh Mazang, the Interior Ministry confirmed the report in a statement.

The Ministry says three people were wounded in the blast, but witnesses say one policeman was killed and three others wounded, including one civilian.

The blast comes as security measures during Eid al-Adha days increased and a number of security forces involved in providing security across the city.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
