Pakistani Defence Minister: Ashraf Ghani Is An Authoritarian Character
MEP: Pakistani Defence Minister has said that President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani is a power-hungry individual, adding that the Afghan refugees are burden on Pakistan and should leave the country as soon as possible.
Khawaja Asif, in response to recent statements by President Ghani said, “Ghani is a banker. He is not a politician and isn’t suitable for Presidency.”
Asif claimed Ghani’s poor policies have caused that most parts of Afghanistan fall into the hands of the armed Taliban and much of the country’s rule is at opposition groups.
“President Ghani is an authoritarian character and all of his attention is to maintain his position regardless of his country’s problems,” he added.
“Afghan president should not act as a spokesman for India and issue statements against Pakistan, because it is inconsistent with the dignity of Ashraf Ghani.”
Asif further added India and Afghanistan should begin the operation of Chabahar port as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Asif referred to the Afghan refugees, saying the refugees are burden on Pakistan and they must leave our country and return home.
Remarks by Pakistani Defence Minister came as Ashraf Ghani in a statement during his visit to India said “the Pakistani terrorist groups are responsible for terrorist attacks in Afghanistan.”
This also comes as the fact that relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have recently been experiencing severe stress and President Ghani has chosen harsh stance against Pakistan several times.
