Seven Afghan Police Killed In US Airstrikes
MEP: As a result of a US military forces airstrike on Afghan military position in Uruzgan – Kandahar highway, seven policemen were killed and one is missing.
Rahimullah, commander of the guard battalion in the highway told the Middle East Press, the attack was launched last night on security posts.
He said there is no enemy in the area and only the military posts have been targeted.
Investigations have begun in this regard.
Rahimullah added that US forces did not have any coordination with Afghan security forces before conducting the attack.
Meanwhile, the armed Taliban also confirmed the report on its Twitter account saying a number of Afghan forces have been killed in a US air-raid.
However, the American military and civilian officials have not reacted so far in this regard.
