Three Ministers Sacked In The House Of Representatives

MEP: Three ministers of the national unity government that failed to convince parliament, were disqualified from duty.

Salahuddin Rabbani, Foreign Minister, Mahmoud Baligh, Minister of Public Works and Nasrin Oriakhel, Minister of Labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled, have attended to impeach meeting this morning in the House of Representatives.

The ministers due to consumption of less than 70 percent of its development budget to parliament attended, but their answers did not satisfy the parliament.

However, ministers stated that they have been employed for some time after the beginning of the fiscal year; but representatives were not convinced of these statements and disqualified all three ministers.

Minister Rabbani received 140 votes by the parliament members to be dismissed against 58 votes of confidence.Minister Oriakhel received 143 votes to be dismissed against 56 votes of confidence while Minister Baligh was unanimous dismissed by receiving 33 votes of confidence and 164 votes of dismissal.

Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, head of the parliament after the vote, urged the President to quickly introduce new people to the aforementioned three ministries.

The parliament decided last week to hold an impeachment meeting for those ministers that have spent less than 70 percent of their development budget.
