Afghan Troops Arrest Senior Taliban Commander In Kunduz

MEP: Kunduz security officials announced Saturday they have arrested a senior armed Taliban commander in the city.

Mahfozullah Akbari, spokesman for 808 Spin Zar Police told the Middle East Press, Commander Bilal was arrested last night from the village of Zarkharid.

Bilal was one of the prominent commanders of armed Taliban were arrested by Afghan National Army during Special Forces operations.

The commander was involved in organizing and leading armed Taliban operations against the security forces in the city.

The ant-government armed group did not comment on the report so far.
