Eleven Afghan Police Killed In Helmand

MEP: Eleven policemen have been killed by an armed Taliban infiltration inside a military shell in Lashkar Gah, capital of Helmand province.

Omar Zowak, spokesman for the governor of Helmand told the Middle East Press, the attack took place last night at the second security checkpoint of Lashkar Gah city.

He said a police allegedly collaborated with the Taliban has opened fire on eleven policemen.

According to Zowak, the policemen had been displaced in the shell after capturing Musa Qala district.

Meanwhile, Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman has written on his Twitter account that has seized police checkpoint and a commander along with eleven others were killed.
