KABUL: (Middle East Press) Taliban insurgents beheaded a Mullah Imam of a mosque in western Farah province, local officials said.

The incident took place on Tuesday morning in Bala Bolok district of Farah province.

Provincial governor spokesman, Jawad Afghan, said the Imam was beheaded by Taliban insurgents after he was accused of having connections with the government.

He said the Imam was identified as Mohammad Farooq and was accused by Taliban for cooperating with the government.

The Taliban insurgents group has not commented regarding the incident yet.
