A bloody traffic accident in Parwan province

In a traffic accident in Salang area of Afghanistan`s parwan 14 members of a family died and 2 other wounded.

In a traffic accident in Salang area of Afghanistan`s parwan 14 members of a family died and 2 other wounded.

Bridger general Memozi Mohammad Zaman, the parwan province police commander, told to the Middle East Press that the accident took place at D–Urti  area in Salang yesterday evening.

He added during this accident a vehicle of Surf type deviated the main road, fell into a valley, killed 14 members of a family including 6 women and 7 children and wounded 2 others.

As he said high speed driving and inability to control the vehicle were the reasons behind the accident.

Afghanistan high ways as the bloodiest roads have always victimized lots of passengers.

After armed conflict and natural disasters, traffic accidents are the third biggest cause of death in Afghanistan, with the rate of traffic deaths increasing in recent years.
