Afghan Military Retake Four Outposts From Taliban In Faryab
MEP: Security officials in Faryab province announced that four security outposts were recaptured by Afghan troops near the number one highway of Khwaja Sabz Posh district of the armed Taliban.
Faryab police spokesman Abdul Karim Youresh told the Middle East Press, the operation was launched late Tuesday.
The posts had fallen into the hands of the armed Taliban last week, he said.
According to Youresh, the operation was conducted from three days onward that up to now, 13 members of armed Taliban have been killed and eight others wounded.
The operation continues until fully cleanup of the highway.
The anti-government armed Taliban group did not comment on the report so far.
